aztro.chat asks for your birth details and keeps what you tell it. This page says exactly what is collected, why, how long it stays, and how to delete it. It describes what the product actually does — not what it might do one day.
What we collect
Birth details: your date of birth, and — if you give them — your time of birth and the place you were born. These are used for one thing: computing your chart. Nothing else.
Your messages and our replies, so a conversation can continue and so you can read it again later.
Small preferences that make the app work: language, light or dark theme, and the credits you have left.
If you sign in: the email address or phone number your sign-in provider confirms. We never receive your Google password, and we never ask for one of our own.
Your permission, kept separate
We ask for permission per purpose, not as one blanket agreement, and each can be refused on its own:
“birth_data” — saving your birth details and computing a chart. Decline it and the readings are general rather than yours.
“chat_history” — keeping the current conversation so a follow-up question makes sense. Decline it and each message is answered on its own.
“memory” — remembering a few durable facts about you across conversations, so one next month can pick up where this one left off. Decline it and nothing carries over. This is the one most people mean when they say “remember me”, and it is entirely optional.
Anything you decline stays declined. You can change any of these in Settings at any time.
Where your words go
To answer you, your message is sent to an AI model run by a third-party provider outside India. Your name, email and phone number are not sent with it; the model receives the text of your question, the relevant facts from your chart, and the recent conversation.
This is a transfer of personal data outside India, and it is stated here plainly rather than buried, because you should be able to decide whether that is acceptable to you before you type something personal.
When you sign in, your sign-in is handled by Google Firebase. We verify what they attest and store our own record; they do not receive your conversations or your birth details.
If — and only if — you switch analytics on in Settings, we count anonymous usage steps with Google Analytics: that the app was opened, that a message was sent, that sign-in was offered and whether it was completed. Never your messages, your birth details, your email or your name. It is off unless you turn it on, and turning it off stops it immediately. Google is a processor outside India, which is the same disclosure as above and the reason this sentence is here rather than in a cookie banner nobody reads.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising. There is no third party receiving it for their own purposes.
How long it is kept
Conversations you can scroll back to: 365 days.
Once a conversation has been summarised, the original messages are removed after 30 days and the summary remains.
The durable facts under “memory”: 30 days, refreshed whenever they are still true.
Birth details: kept until you delete them, because a chart does not change and recomputing it every visit would mean asking you for the same details again.
These are the values the product is running with today. If they change, this page changes.
Safety, and the one exception
Every message is checked for signs that someone is in danger. That check is what lets the app stop behaving like an astrologer and hand over crisis helplines when it matters.
A conversation that suggests acute risk may be placed in a queue for a human to review. Whether the text of that message is stored for the reviewer is a setting that is OFF by default; when it is on, it is a short excerpt and nothing more. This is the only circumstance in which a person other than you may read what you wrote.
Deleting everything
Settings → Delete my data removes your account and everything attached to it: birth details, conversations, remembered facts, credits and sign-in records. It is a hard delete, not a flag, and it cascades. It cannot be undone and we cannot recover it for you afterwards.
You can also delete a single conversation, or just the remembered facts, without deleting the account.
What this is not
aztro.chat is an AI. It is not an astrologer, it is not a doctor, and it is not a therapist. It is not a substitute for professional care, and it must not be used as one in an emergency.
